Boat Launching Facilities

| There are two marinas within a mile of Rowan Keld. You can launch your boats, for a fee at either of these sites. Both the Marinas, Derwentwater Marina and Nichol End Marine, also offer a number of different water activities and hire facilities. |

In Keswick, about 2 miles away from Portinscale there is a public launch site at Lake Road. I do not think that you can leave a trailer in any of the public car parks in Keswick but if you are staying at Rowan Keld you can leave your trailer there. Further on round the Lake there is a launch site for smaller dinghies at Kettlewell Car Park. Sailors are requested not leave boat trailers at the Kettlewell Car Park as it is a very small
